Swami Yogatmananda embraced monasticism at a very tender age being inspired by the ideals and ideas of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Ma Sarada Devi and Swami Vivekananda.. In order to implement his spiritual ideas into real life through various humanitarian and philanthropic activities, he founded Ramakrishna Nistha Ashrama, a non-profit religious charitable organization and became its founder General Secretary Besides providing spiritual counseling to earnest seekers of truth, he is presently engaged in a number of benevolent projects in medical, cultural and child welfare sectors with the unstinted cooperation and financial assistance of large hearted public and institutions.
02Every day children from the poor section of the society are being served free food under the nutrition program of the Ashrama, a glass of milk, bun breads, and banana or any other seasonal fruits.
